Roshad Gibbons

City Gates

Roshad Gibbons committed his life to Christ in 2010 at the age of 14 years old. Since his conversion he has been serving the Lord with enthusiasm, endeavouring to be faithful to God and to the call upon his life. He is passionate about street evangelism and apologetics, especially with those from the Muslim world.

Roshad's love for God and His Word led him to undertake a three-year degree in Theology at the London School of Theology, from which he graduated with a bachelor's degree. During his time there, Roshad served as the Student Body President — becoming the youngest President the School has ever had, serving at the age of 19, and the second Black President within the history of the School.

At present Roshad works as a mental health therapeutic practitioner, providing therapy and mental health support for young black males, many of whom are involved within the criminal justice system and serious youth violence. Roshad has a real heart to steer young people away from a life of crime onto something more positive and meaningful. He is currently studying a Master's Degree in psychology with hopes to progress in the mental health field.

Roshad is also a qualified basketball coach with two years coaching experience with young people in London. He is happily married to Vernita Gibbons and they have one daughter, Jirah.

As Paul charged Timothy to be an example, so Roshad seeks to be an example to all believers in love, faith, purity, conduct and speech.
