Carolyn Henry was raised in a Christian home steeped in the legacy of New Testament Church of God (NTCG) leaders, pastors, and bishops. She committed her life to Christ at age 7 and grew up immersed in the sacrifices and service of church ministry.
As a teenager, she became active in youth ministry and jointly formed the contemporary gospel girl group 'God's Desire'. The group gained national attention with radio play for their single and EP, performing at events, theatres, and competitions across the UK, including a gospel contest on GMTV.
In her 20s and 30s, Carolyn deepened her commitment to youth ministry, drawing on personal experiences to offer relevant and practical support to young people. Her roles within NTCG included Sunday School Teacher, Assistant Local Youth Director, District Youth Director, Director of the National Youth Mass Choir (FRONTLINE), and National Youth Board member.
Carolyn earned a Distinction in her Master's in Theology from Spurgeon's College and is now pursuing doctoral research focused on the history and future of mentorship for young women in the Black Pentecostal church.
After much prayer and discernment, Carolyn transitioned from NTCG to join CFNUK (Cornerstone Fellowship Nottingham UK), where she has now been appointed Assistant Pastor. She strives to fulfil her God-given purpose with excellence, supporting and advancing the spiritual development of others, whilst faithfully serving in all areas wherever she is called.
